Udaipur: Students of Vidya Niketan Higher Secondary School, Hiran Magri Sector 4, Udaipur, delivered an impressive performance at the Vidya Bharati Rajasthan Region Judo and Kurash Competition 2026-27, held in Jodhpur, winning a total of seven gold and six silver medals.

School Principal Kamledra Singh Rao said the students demonstrated strong performances across different age and weight categories.

In Judo, Rahul Rawat (60 kg), Deepika (44 kg), Kashish (48 kg), Arpit (73 kg) in the under-19 category, Sulochana (40 kg) and Honey (23 kg) in the under-17 category won gold medals. Komal (24 kg) also secured a gold medal in the under-14 category.

The school’s silver medal winners in Judo included Mukul, Shauryaveer, Prateek, Kirtiraj and Siya, while Bhoomika won a silver medal in Kurash.

The school management congratulated the students and their coaches for their achievements and said their performance reflects the importance of discipline, dedication and regular training.

The gold medal-winning students will represent the school and compete at the All-India Vidya Bharati competition, scheduled to be held in Ranchi from Sept. 22. The students are expected to carry forward their strong performance at the national-level event.
