Udaipur: The importance of health awareness, fitness and preventive healthcare took centre stage at Season 6 of the Global Health and Wellness Festival, where a series of awareness programmes and interactive sessions focused on promoting healthier lifestyles.
Former MLA Rajendra Singh Rathore and JHW founder Himmat Singh Nathawat were the chief guests at the event. The festival was supported by Paras Health, Care Health Insurance and Protect General Insurance.
The festival featured interactive sessions on health and wellness, along with a free health check-up camp where visitors availed themselves of health screening facilities provided by Paras Health.
The Women Business Circle (WBC) played an active role in promoting health awareness during the festival. A special session on ‘Fit India–Fit Future’ was organised in the evening and was led by Meenakshi Paliwal, Rajasthan’s Fit India Ambassador and secretary of WBC.
Paliwal emphasised that maintaining good health goes beyond treating illnesses. She highlighted the importance of staying alert to health concerns, remaining physically active and making preventive health check-ups, regular exercise and a balanced lifestyle part of everyday life.
The session brought together women entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals, who shared practical insights on fitness, yoga, Ayurveda and healthy living. Ayurveda physician Dr. Jyoti Dewal, physiotherapist Dr. Vinita Baghela and yoga practitioner Vanshika Jaiswal discussed ways to incorporate healthier habits into daily routines.
WBC president Acharya Anima Goswami said health awareness was not merely an individual concern but was closely linked to the wellbeing of families and communities. She emphasised the role women can play in taking health awareness messages from households to the wider community.
The ‘Fit India–Fit Future’ dialogue, led by Paliwal, concluded with a focus on preventive healthcare, physical activity and informed lifestyle choices. The festival witnessed participation from healthcare professionals, women entrepreneurs and representatives of various organisations.
