Udaipur: The Women’s Sub-Committee of the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) organised an interactive seminar on “Women’s Health and Well-being – Adapting to Health Challenges at Every Stage of Life” for women members and their family members. A special health screening camp for women was also organised following the seminar.
Dr Shalini Bhargava, Senior Gynaecologist and Infertility Specialist at Shantiraj Hospital, was the chief guest and keynote speaker, while renowned mountaineer Manasvi Agrawal attended as the special guest.
In her opening address, Women’s Sub-Committee Co-Chairperson Priya Mogra said UCCI aims to expand the outreach of its Women’s Sub-Committee to every woman associated with the chamber this year. Whether an active entrepreneur or a homemaker contributing to a family business, every woman is an integral part of the UCCI family. She encouraged women members to actively participate in such initiatives aimed at promoting greater participation, leadership and social contribution. She also expressed gratitude to Shantiraj Hospital and its entire team for their support.
Women’s Sub-Committee Chairperson Seema Pareek said women often prioritise their families and professional responsibilities and may consequently pay comparatively less attention to their own health. The programme was organised to create greater awareness about women’s health and encourage timely health check-ups.
UCCI President Sandeep Bapna welcomed the chief guest, special guest, medical experts, dietitian and women participants. He appreciated the efforts of Seema Pareek and the entire Women’s Sub-Committee team, saying that initiatives focusing on women’s health and well-being play an important role in strengthening both families and society.
Manjeet Bansal introduced special guest and mountaineer Manasvi Agrawal, who shared experiences from her journey as a sportsperson and mountaineer. She encouraged women to pursue their goals with enthusiasm, confidence and determination.
Bansal subsequently introduced Dr Shalini Bhargava, who delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation on health challenges faced by women at different stages of life and measures for prevention and well-being. She discussed hormonal changes during adolescence, middle age and later years, along with issues related to thyroid health, motherhood, pre-menopause and post-menopause.
Dr Bhargava emphasised the importance of regular physical activity, a balanced and nutritious diet, periodic health check-ups and a healthy lifestyle. During the interactive question-and-answer session, women participants raised a range of health-related queries, which Dr Bhargava addressed in a simple and practical manner.
More than 35 women members and participants took part in the programme. The health screening camp held after the seminar provided women with essential health check-ups and access to specialist consultations.
At the conclusion of the programme, Darshana Singhvi proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the chief guest, special guest, medical experts, the Shantiraj Hospital team and all women participants for their contribution to the successful event.
