Udaipur: A ‘Yuva Samvad’ programme on the theme “Yuva Shakti – Role of Youth in Nation Building” was organised at the Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Sai Tirupati University, Umarda. The programme aimed to sensitise and inspire young people towards nation building, social responsibility, leadership and positive civic participation.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to Bharat Mata, followed by the rendition of Vande Mataram. The guests were introduced and traditionally welcomed with the presentation of turbans. Dr. Dilip Parekh delivered the welcome address.

Sai Tirupati University Vice Chancellor Dr. Prashant Nahar, PIMS Principal and Controller Dr. Suresh Chandra Goyal, and Medical Director Dr. Kamlesh Shekhawat were present on the occasion.

Addressing young doctors and students, Dr. Prashant Nahar called upon the youth to contribute actively to nation building and social welfare. He also appreciated the efforts of the National Medical Organisation to connect young doctors with the larger cause of national interest and nation building.

During the Yuva Samvad session, gastro surgeon Dr. K.K. Bishnoi, Dr. Yogesh Singhal, Dr. Vaibhav Chittora and Dr. Jaideep Thakor shared their views on the responsibilities of young people, their social obligations and the importance of their active participation in the country's development.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Co-Provincial Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (Chittor Province), spoke extensively about the organisation’s ‘Panch Parivartan’—environmental conservation, civic etiquette, family awareness, self-awareness and social harmony.

He urged young people to move beyond the virtual world and return from “reel to real” life, while fulfilling their responsibilities towards society, family and the environment. He said the energy, talent, discipline and positive thinking of young people can make a significant contribution to the country's progress.

Students were given an opportunity to share their views and interact with the speakers through a question-and-answer session. They raised questions on various aspects of the theme and received responses and guidance from the speakers.

Dr. Ajay Chaudhary from the faculty also shared his experiences and inspirational thoughts. He emphasised that the role of youth should not be limited to becoming future leaders; they must actively participate as responsible citizens in the present. He encouraged students to contribute to nation building through social service, environmental conservation, democratic participation, awareness and positive leadership.

The programme concluded with the national anthem. Dr. Ajay Chaudhary delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered and anchored by Dr. Yamini Sabharwal and Dr. Sonali Kukreja.
