BANSWARA,The Shri Pitambara Ashram observed Vijayadashami with elaborate rituals organized by the Gayatri Mandal on Thursday. The celebrations included worship of various deities, marking the culmination of the nine-day Navratri festival.
During the event, Pandit Naresh Pandya ‘Dayalu’, who completed 28 years of silent Navratri worship dedicated to divine energy, was felicitated. The ceremony was presided over by Dilip Gupta, former commissioner of the Municipal Council and chief patron of Gayatri Mandal, along with senior vice president Manohar G. Joshi. They honoured Pandit Dayalu by reciting sacred mantras, offering blessings, and presenting him with a ceremonial shawl, acknowledging his devotion and spiritual discipline.
The rituals included worship of Narmadeshwar Mahadev, Pitambara Devi, Hanumanji, and other deities, with offerings of Aparajita flowers. Ashram devotees present included Pandit Chandresh Vyas, Mrs. Pushpa Vyas, Pankaj Narayan Vaishnav, Pradeep Soni ‘Bunty’, Rajesh Vyas, and Mrs. Sharda Maida, among others, who actively participated in the prayers and celebrations.
