2.7 Million Users Shielded in Real Time Through AI-Powered Detection

### Airtel Cracks Down on Online Fraud in Rajasthan

Udaipur – Bharti Airtel has announced a major breakthrough in its efforts to combat rising incidents of online fraud in Rajasthan. Through the deployment of its cutting-edge AI-powered fraud detection system, Airtel has successfully protected over 2.7 million users in just 27 days since the system's rollout in the state.

This advanced security solution has been automatically enabled for all Airtel mobile and broadband users and is capable of scanning messages and links shared via SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, Email, and web browsers. The system assesses over 1 billion URLs every day using real-time threat intelligence and is able to block access to malicious websites in under 100 milliseconds.

For example, if a user in Bharatpur receives a deceptive message like, “Your package is delayed. Track it here: http://www.tracky0urparcell.com”, Airtel’s system immediately kicks in. It scans the suspicious link, and if found dangerous, access is blocked and the user is redirected to a warning screen that reads: “Blocked! Airtel found this site dangerous!”

This real-time interception capability ensures users are protected from phishing scams, malware, and other forms of digital fraud.

Leaders Applaud Airtel's Cybersecurity Initiative

Commenting on the development, Marut Dilawari, CEO – Rajasthan, Bharti Airtel, said:

“At Airtel, we are dedicated to protecting our customers from various types of fraud. We are excited to announce the launch of our fraud detection solution, which aims to safeguard all customers on every platform, enhancing internet safety for everyone and defending against new threats. In support of the initiative, Mr. Shantanu Kumar Singh, IPS, SP – Cyber Crime, Rajasthan Police, stated:
