Udaipur: Grand Temple of Mata Vaishno Devi Ready to Inaugurate, Procession on March 3rd

Udaipur:* Following the model of Katra in Jammu and Kashmir, Udaipur has completed the construction of a magnificent temple dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi. A meeting of representatives from all communities was held to discuss the inauguration of the temple, and the consecration ceremony, known as Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav, is scheduled for March 3rd, with participation from the entire community.

Sunil Khatri, the head of Shri Meera Kishan Darbar Trust, revealed that on March 27th, over 100 devotees from Udaipur will travel to Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, to bring the eternal flame of Mata Vaishno Devi. This sacred flame will be used to ignite the newly constructed Mata Vaishno Devi Temple on Nathdwara Road in Udaipur during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

Khatri informed that a meeting was organized at Jhulelal Bhavan in Shakti Nagar, where detailed information about the entire program was shared with representatives of all communities. An appeal was made to all sections of society to join the grand procession of the sacred flame on March 3rd, starting from Jagdish Temple at 10:00 AM. The procession will pass through Ghantaghar, Hathi Pol, Chetak Circle, reaching Field Club by noon. After that, it will proceed to the newly built Mata Vaishno Devi Temple on Nathdwara Road, where all devotees will be offered prasad.

The gathering witnessed the presence of various social organizations, including the Dharmotsav Committee, Agarwal Society, Kalal Society, Bajrang Sewa, Shri Sen Samaj, Shri Rath Samiti Mevad Region Mahasabha, Alok Sansthan, Shiv Dal Mevad, Lok Jan Seva Sansthan, and members of the Sindhi community.

In the meeting, social leaders such as Mahaveer Chaplot, Pradeep Kumawat, Kalu Singh Ranawat, Rajkumar Fatawat, Dharmaveer Singh Saluja, Rajesh Agarwal, Rajendra Sen, Kamalendra Singh Pawar, Surya Prakash Suwalka, Dinesh Gupta, Dinesh Makwana, and others praised the efforts of Trustee Sunil Khatri. They expressed appreciation for turning Udaipur, and indeed Rajasthan, into a splendid pilgrimage site as the city will adorn itself as the City of Temples. The leaders collectively resolved to make the procession a historic event and lauded Sunil Khatri's commitment.
