At 6:30 pm, the university auditorium was immersed in devotion as renowned young Carnatic and devotional singer Surya Gayatri presented the Vedic and bhakti-oriented concert “Ramam Bhaje.”

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by an invocatory Ganesh hymn “Mahaganapatim,” setting a sacred and serene tone for the evening. From the very first note, Surya Gayatri’s soulful voice transported the audience into a realm of deep devotion and inner peace.

The dignified event was presided over by Mr. J.P. Agrawal, Chairman, Geetanjali Group. Distinguished attendees included Mr. B.R. He emphasized that education becomes complete only when it is rooted in the spirit of service—an ethos that Geetanjali University has consistently upheld. He described the event not merely as a religious program, but as a celebration of service, values, and humanity. Congratulating AIM for Seva on its 25-year journey of selfless service, he expressed heartfelt appreciation to revered Bapna Sahib, Pujya Swamiji, and all the guests present. Surya Gayatri: A Journey of Devotion and Inspiration
Born on 26 January 2006 in the serene village of Parammery in Kozhikode district, Kerala, Surya Gayatri has achieved global recognition at a remarkably young age in the field of devotional and spiritual music. Her father, Mr. P.V. Anil Kumar, is a distinguished artist with All India Radio, Kozhikode, while her mother, Mrs. P.K. Divya, is a sensitive poet. This rich cultural and spiritual upbringing has deeply shaped Surya Gayatri’s musical journey.
She has performed extensively across India and internationally in countries such as Australia, Singapore, Canada, and Qatar. A defining moment in her career came when the Hon’ble Prime Minister shared her rendition of “Shri Ramchandra Kripalu Bhaj Man” on social media—a hymn that continues to resonate within the Shri Ram Temple, touching the hearts of devotees.
At Geetanjali University, Surya Gayatri captivated the audience with deeply emotive and classical renditions of Mahaganapatim, Ramam Bhaje, Thumak Chalat Ramchandra, Ram Ko Dekh Kar, Shri Ramchandra Kripalu, Sitapati Sankirtanam, Raghuvar Tumko, Mere Ghar Ram Aaye Hain, Bharat Desh, and the Hanuman Chalisa. Each composition was received with rapt attention and heartfelt applause, as the auditorium reverberated with devotion.

A Living Message of Service and Values
The occasion also highlighted the impactful service projects of AIM for Seva and Arsha Vidyapith. Pujya Swami Brahmaparmanand Ji shared insights into the organization’s mission, stating that in their hostels, not only the body is nourished but the mind is purified. Here, knowledge is transformed into values, enabling students to understand life through the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and grow into disciplined, cultured, and responsible citizens.
Mr. Sirni Ji, Chief Executive Officer of AIM for Seva, who had specially traveled from the United States for the event, informed the audience that the organization operates 91 hostels across 17 states in India, benefiting thousands of students every year. The confident and precise Vedic chanting by children from tribal regions was living proof that genuine service can empower and uplift even the most remote communities. In Rajasthan, AIM for Seva runs hostels in Jaipur and Udaipur and is also implementing a school project in Udaipur.
Held on the sacred soil of Udaipur, this Vedic and devotional musical evening emerged as a unique cultural celebration imbued with faith, tradition, and spiritual harmony. The presence of saints and acharyas from various pilgrimage centers across the country transformed the program into a vibrant expression of the Shruti–Smriti tradition.
This magnificent devotional evening will forever remain a memorable chapter in Geetanjali University’s unwavering commitment to service, culture, and society.
