####Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship IDE Boot Camp Launched at GITS

Udaipur: Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS), Dabok, Udaipur has commenced the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Boot Camp–2026, Phase 3, under the joint aegis of the Department of School Education and Literacy, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell.


The programme is being organised simultaneously at eight locations across six states in India, with GITS selected as the nodal centre for Rajasthan. The three-day boot camp will be held from January 7 to January 9, 2026.


The online inauguration of the programme was carried out by AICTE Vice Chairman and Chief Innovation Officer Dr Abhay Jere. The inaugural session was attended by Member Secretary Prof. Shyamarath, Advisor (Regulation Bureau) Dr N.H. Siddalinga Swamy, Innovation Director Mr Yogesh Brahmankar, and Assistant Innovation Director, among others.

GITS Director Dr S.M. Prasanna Kumar informed that the objective of this three-day boot camp is to equip school principals and teachers with the necessary skills and mindset to integrate design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship into school education. He said the programme is part of a multi-stage national initiative led by AICTE and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, aimed at promoting innovation and a startup ecosystem at the school level in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

All principals and teachers from PM SHRI schools participating in the programme will receive technical training from Wadhwani Foundation’s lead trainers Mr Makarand Ramesh Velenkar and Mr H.T. Patil. The overall coordination of the boot camp is being handled by AICTE Innovation Cell Regional Coordinator Mr Ashish Tripathi.

The programme was addressed by Additional District Project Coordinator Mr Nanihal Singh Chauhan as the chief guest and Additional District Education Officer, Udaipur, Mr Murlidhar Choubisa.

Programme Convener Dr Chintal Patel stated that around 190 principals and teachers from various schools across Rajasthan are participating in the boot camp. The primary aim is to develop essential skills and an entrepreneurial mindset among participants so that they can succeed in today’s dynamic professional environment and contribute towards building a stronger India.

As panel experts, Mr Ved Shukla, Co-founder of IT company Webanix, and Mr Kamlesh Paliwal, Founder of Nemo Lab and Director of Aurivex Digitech Pvt Ltd, shared insights. Entrepreneurs, startup founders, faculty members, and teachers from different cities across the country are also taking part in the programme.

MBA Director Dr P.K. Jain said that the boot camp will encourage meaningful discussions on innovation, enabling students from different schools to learn from one another. GITS Finance Controller Mr B.L. Jangid added that the initiative will foster creativity among students and teachers and inspire them to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems.

The successful organisation of this boot camp, he said, is a matter of pride not only for GITS but for the entire state of Rajasthan, as it opens new avenues of innovation and provides a fresh direction for the nation’s future.
