The Dance of Unemployment

In the obscurity of the night, Meenakshi was immersed in her studies, the clock ticking around 2:00 AM. At this hour, her father, Omprakash, entered the room, bringing a cup of tea with a warm smile.

"Meenakshi, my dear daughter, your dedication to studies fills me with immense joy. May you achieve success soon. Now, have this warm tea quickly," said Omprakash.

"Thank you, father. Your love and blessings inspire me. Your timely teas at 2:00 AM mean the world to me," replied Meenakshi with gratitude.

Omprakash responded, "You are my daughter, there's no need for thanks. Just succeed, and your life will be filled with happiness."

With this, Meenakshi resumed her studies. Around 7:00 AM, her mother, Ramila, entered the room. Despite suffering from arthritis, Ramila took care of her daughter with unwavering love.

"Meenakshi, dear, freshen up and come. I've made potato parathas for you, and your milk is ready. Quickly, come and have your breakfast so that your health stays good," said Ramila.

"Sure, mother," Meenakshi replied with respect.

After having her breakfast and taking some rest, Meenakshi received a phone call. It was her friend Rajni.

"Meenakshi, how are you? Did my call bring back memories?" Rajni teased.

Laughing, Meenakshi replied, "Of course, Rajni. It's been around 5-6 years since we've been studying. But every time, success seems to elude us. The dance of unemployment is becoming more pronounced."

Rajni sighed, "I feel so hopeless. I've given countless interviews in the last 6 years. There are so many competitors for just one position, and the dance of unemployment is getting louder."

Meenakshi consoled, "You're absolutely right, Rajni. We spend years studying, but when it comes to reaping the benefits, it feels futile."

Rajni chuckled, "At least if we were making and selling pakoras, we would have something to eat."

Meenakshi joined in, "True, our identity might be as 'Meenakshi, the Pakora Seller' or 'Rajni, the Pakora Seller.'"

They both burst into laughter.

Rajni, changing her tone, said, "On a serious note, I have an interview in Delhi tomorrow."

Meenakshi wished her, "Best of luck for your interview, Rajni."

Rajni replied, "Thanks, Meenakshi. But honestly, I don't know why I bother. Even if selected, it just drains money for coming and going. There's nothing substantial. All we get is unemployment."

Meenakshi laughed heartily, "The Dance of Unemployment indeed!"

Rajni joined in, "Dancing away our hopes and dreams."

Meenakshi said, "We need to keep our spirits high, Rajni. Despite the dance of unemployment, we have to stay determined and keep working hard."

Rajni, smiling, agreed, "Absolutely, Meenakshi. Let's dance along with the rhythm of hard work, and who knows, maybe success will join the dance!"
