His father’s maternal uncle, Pandit Ram Niwas Sharma, was the chief priest of the historic Ram Mandir in Bheemganj Mandi, a respected figure across all communities.

Pandit Rahul Sharma, under the guidance of his maternal uncle and spiritual guru Ram Niwas Sharma, was deeply inclined toward religious practices and is believed to have mastered the spiritual path of Lord Hanuman worship. Devotees believe that prayers offered through him bring fulfillment of wishes.

The Raghunath Temple and continuous Akhand Ramayana recitations in the region stand testament to their family's spiritual heritage. Every Tuesday, a large number of devotees visit the temple for blessings.
