Prof. Gaurav Vallabh Appointed Member of PM’s Economic Advisory Council

 

Udaipur:Prominent BJP leader and economist Prof. Gaurav Vallabh has been appointed as a member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC). With this appointment, the speculation about his inclusion in the council has been officially confirmed. The council is a high-level body that advises the Prime Minister on economic and related policy matters.

Prof. Vallabh has been appointed to the council in his capacity as an economist and will now be contributing to the formulation of key economic strategies for the Government of India, particularly for the Prime Minister. The council is currently chaired by noted economist Dr. S. Mahendra Dev.

Prof. Gaurav Vallabh has an extensive academic background, having served as a finance professor in prestigious institutions including several Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) both in India and abroad. His expertise in economics and finance is well recognized, with over 100 research papers published in leading international academic journals.

He is also a prolific columnist, contributing articles on various economic issues to some of the country’s leading newspapers. His research papers, focusing on socio-economic topics, have been presented at several reputed national and international conferences.

Prof. Vallabh’s appointment is being seen as a significant addition to the PMEAC, strengthening its role in advising on complex economic challenges at both national and global levels.
