Scene: American Institute of Medical Sciences, First-Year Orientation Program

Narrator: “Today, our first-year medical students are witnessing two special dramas – ‘Barbad Pani, Khatm Kahani’ and ‘Nasha ke 12 Haath’ – directed by the esteemed Dr. P. C. Jain.”

[Aarti begins – “Om Jai Jaldev Hare”]

Student 1 (chanting): “Om Jai Jaldev Hare! Let us honor water, the source of life!”

Narrator: “The first drama, written and enacted by the students themselves, shows the story of a factory polluting groundwater. Citizens protest and urge the factory owner to stop contaminating our precious water.”

Student 2 (as a citizen): “Stop polluting our water! Our lives depend on it!”

Factory Owner (reluctantly): “I… I did not realize the harm my factory was causing.”

[Scene shifts. Students demonstrate invisible water usage.]

Student 3: “Do you know it takes 17,500 liters of water to make just 1 kilogram of chocolate?”

Student 4: “And producing jeans, sarees, T-shirts… water disappears silently from our earth!”

Narrator: “The message is clear: avoid unnecessary consumption, or we unknowingly waste water.”

[Next, ‘Nasha ke 12 Haath’ begins]

Hand 1 (appears on stage as a personification of addiction): “I am the first hand, leading you to alcohol…”

Hand 2: “I am the second, taking you to tobacco…”

Student (narrating): “These 12 hands can trap anyone in addiction. Beware!”

Dr. P. C. Jain (addressing students): “Mobile addiction, excessive screen time, and substance abuse can cause aggression, communication issues, obesity, myopia, and even brain damage. You must practice digital fasting and engage in healthy activities.”

Student 5: “Sir, what about peer pressure?”

Dr. Jain: “No matter what your friends or seniors say, never succumb to addiction. Remember, it hurts those who love you most – your parents.”

Narrator: “The event concluded with students performing an energetic anti-addiction Garba, singing songs of awareness and pledge.”

Dr. Jain: “Your admission is a proud moment for your parents. Don’t let addiction bring tears of sorrow. Stand strong, stay healthy, and inspire others.”

Students (together): “We promise to stay away from all forms of addiction!”

Narrator: “The event was coordinated by Rahul Sharma, and Principal Vinay Joshi extended his thanks. The performances included Jahnvi Kakhani, Aditri Rohatgi, Shaikib Ali, Tanishk Jain, Krish Taylor, Yuvika Data, Nehal Suhalka, Shikhar Jharwal, and Prem Parihar.”
