At the state-level Tribal Pride Day ceremony held in Dungarpur on the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had honoured Meera Dauja, a student of Meera Kanya Mahavidyalaya and a resident of Manas, Jhadol, for her outstanding achievements. Continuing this recognition, Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Pragna Kehlaramani felicitated Meera at her office by presenting a ceremonial uprana and a sapling, extending appreciation and best wishes for her future endeavours.
The occasion was marked by the presence of international athlete Sunita Meena, Jula Kumari Gurjar, Vishakha Meghwal, coach Neeraj Batra, Additional Divisional Commissioner Chhogaram Devasi, along with officers and staff of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office.
Meera’s significant contribution to the Indian team at the Asian Lacrosse Games held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, had led to a silver medal victory. A three-time national gold medallist, she is also set to represent India in the upcoming Asian Lacrosse Games.
