###Human Rights Day Observed with ‘Karuna Year’ Initiative

Udaipur / On the occasion of Human Rights Day and the 36th anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize conferred upon His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1989, a heartwarming social service programme was organised on Wednesday at Samor Bagh, Udaipur.

As part of Karuna Varsh—a year-long initiative commemorating the 90th birth anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama—the Tibetan trader community at Samor Bagh, along with Nathdwara MLA Maharana Vishvaraj Singh Mewar, distributed warm woollen sweaters to underprivileged individuals.

Under this initiative, the Tibetan community has arranged around 20,000 woollen sweaters for the Nathdwara Assembly constituency. Each mandal will receive 3,000 to 4,000 sweaters, which will be distributed locally to ensure they reach those who need them most.

It is noteworthy that the Samor Bagh premises were originally provided to the Tibetan community by the late Maharana Mahendra Singh Mewar, establishing a long-standing bond of mutual trust and cooperation that continues to flourish today.

The sweater distribution programme held today beautifully reflected the compassion taught by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and stood as a remarkable example of service, empathy, and social responsibility towards the weaker sections of society.

On this anniversary of His Holiness receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, we pay our heartfelt tribute and pray that his timeless message of peace and compassion continues to guide the world.
