Udaipur:Narayan Seva Sangathan organized a mega free food and clothing distribution camp on Sunday at Khamgaon, Kotra, which emerged as an inspiring example of humanitarian service. More than 5,000 tribal, underprivileged and needy people benefited from the camp by receiving nutritious food and essential relief materials. The primary objective of the initiative was to provide relief to poor, helpless and tribal families during the winter season.

Rajasthan Government’s Minister for Tribal Affairs, Babulal Kharari, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Praising the Sangathan’s continuous efforts for the tribal community, he said that Narayan Seva Sangathan has been selflessly serving the last person in society for years. Sharing details of the camp, Prashant Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sangathan, informed that over 3,000 people were served hot jaggery-mixed khichdi, prepared using nearly 1,200 kilograms of grains. To protect people from the cold, 2,000 blankets were distributed among men and women.

In addition, the Sangathan distributed 500 dhotis, 500 lugdas (traditional women’s attire), 1,000 children’s dresses, 500 additional children’s dresses, 500 pairs of shoes and slippers, 500 men’s slippers, 100 sets of children’s undergarments, 1,500 sweaters, socks and other woollen garments, along with 1,500 bathing kits containing soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and comb.

Agarwal stated that the total weight of the distributed relief material exceeded 10 tonnes, providing direct and substantial relief to a large number of needy families. He emphasized that the Sangathan’s mission is not only to serve, but to serve with dignity and respect.
