Udaipur, Marking the completion of the rigorous Jain austerity Varshitap, devotee Sonika Khiwesra from Vadodara–Surat (Gujarat), along with Sujay Khiwesra, set a remarkable example by dedicating the occasion to gau seva. By sponsoring the seventh Chhappan Bhog for cows, the family highlighted a unique blend of devotion, compassion, and social responsibility.
The आयोजन was part of an ongoing initiative led by Guru Kamal Chandra Roshan Gau Seva Trust, which is organizing a series of Chhappan Bhog offerings across 108 gaushalas. According to founder Sanjay Jain, the sixth Chhappan Bhog was held at Premraj Vijaya Gaushala in Semal (Haldighati) at 11 AM with great श्रद्धा and enthusiasm.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Jinendra Shastri, honoured as Rajasthan Gaurav, while Motilal Sethia attended as Chief Guest and Ashok Sethia as Special Guest. During the event, Ashok Sethia also announced a contribution of ₹51,000 for an upcoming Chhappan Bhog at Kardhar Gaushala in Wagol (Nathdwara).
Subsequently, the seventh Chhappan Bhog was organized at Shri Parshwanath Gaushala in Kadmal, where Kalulal Mehta, Sarpanch, attended as Chief Guest. Prominent attendees included Bhanwarlal Ranka, Fatehlal Ranka, and Mukesh Gundecha, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jinendra Shastri emphasized that Chhappan Bhog is not merely a ritual but a symbol of service, sensitivity, and duty towards Gau Mata. He highlighted the importance of cow-based agriculture, organic farming, and environmental balance, stating that extending this initiative to 108 gaushalas is a unifying social movement.
Both events saw enthusiastic participation from rural devotees. Reflecting the scale of devotion, gau devotees from Kadmal pledged ₹1,71,000 for a future Chhappan Bhog at Miraj Gaushala, home to over 1,500 cows, while ₹51,000 was pledged for Kardhar Gaushala in Wagol.
The event was successfully coordinated by volunteers including Tarun Bhardwaj, Raju Charan, Gajendra Singh, Rajendra Prajapat, Hemant Garg, Tanish Jain, Daksh Jain, Amit Bhaskar, and Ashish Meena, who dedicated three days of continuous service.
In conclusion, Trust President Mukesh Jain expressed gratitude to all donors and contributors, while Sweety Jain appreciated the participants, describing the initiative as a beautiful confluence of service, culture, and faith.
