Udaipur – The installation ceremony of the newly formed Jain Social Group Global (2025–27) was held today at Rasm Resort on Bari Road. The Chief Guest for the event was District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, with MLA Tarachand Jain presiding as the Chair. Other distinguished guests included JSGIF Vice President R.C. Mehta, outgoing Chairman and International Director Anil Nahar, Devasthan Commissioner Jatin Gandhi, former Chairman Mohan Bohra, Chairman-Elect Paras Dhelawat, Secretary-Elect Ashutosh Sisodia, Joint Chairmen Sunil Gang and Vinod Fandot.
Addressing the gathering, SP Yogesh Goyal emphasized the vital role CCTV cameras play in preventing crime. “To truly secure the city, every corner must be under CCTV surveillance. Presently, the Abhay Command Center is connected with only 350 cameras, which is far from sufficient. True development and peace can only thrive with security,” he said. He further added that MLA Tarachand Jain has already secured approval for installing 250 more cameras through the Urban Development Authority.
SP Goyal also pointed out the public's reluctance to wear helmets despite government efforts, humorously noting, “People are more afraid of denting the helmet than their own head, which ultimately harms the individual.”
MLA Tarachand Jain commended JSG for nurturing talent within the Jain community and noted that the community contributes nearly 24% to India’s GDP. He also expressed concern over the community's declining political representation. He acknowledged a 50% reduction in crime rates in Udaipur since SP Goyal took charge.
New Executive Takes Oath
JSG Mewar Region's Arun Mandot administered the oath to the new executive committee, including Founding President Ashok Shah, Vice Presidents Praveen Kothari and Mahaveer Singhi, Secretary Rajkumar Bhorawat, Joint Secretary Yogesh Akhawat, Treasurers Madan Devda, Suresh Jain, Keshulal Jawaria, and Vinod Fandot. Outgoing Regional Chairman Anil Nahar administered the oath to 111 newly inducted couple-members.
In his address, newly elected President Ashok Shah stated that the group includes professionals from various fields, including administration and industry. Initiatives will be undertaken to prevent inter-community marriages among Jain girls through counseling centers, and disputes between couples will be resolved at the community level. As a symbolic gesture, bird feeders were distributed to all 111 members, initiated by a few members receiving them from the dignitaries. A spiritual trip to Nagfani Parshvanath is also planned for the group soon.
Vision for Global Expansion
Regional Chairman Arun Mandot highlighted that JSG currently has 110,000 couple members across 17 countries and is poised to shape the future. He stressed the need for innovation to advance the Jain community. R.C. Mehta noted the group's distinct global identity, while Anil Nahar emphasized that success comes naturally when the timing is right – as seen with this group. He also raised concern over rising divorce cases within the Vaishya community.
Devasthan Commissioner Jatin Gandhi encouraged efforts to eliminate social evils and strengthen society through small but meaningful changes. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp before a portrait of Lord Adinath, followed by a welcome song performed by young girls.
Notable attendees included Bipin Gandhi, National President of the Humad Federation from Indore, BJP Disaster Relief Coordinator for Rajasthan Dr. Jinendra Shastri, and Kiran Jain, among other dignitaries. The vote of thanks was delivered by Secretary Rajkumar Bhorawat, and the event was hosted by Alok Pagaria.
