Udaipur, With the aim of integrating India’s tribal communities into the mainstream by linking them with various government schemes, the Dhartia Aba Tribal Village Utkarsh Campaign will be launched nationwide from June 15 to June 30. Initiated under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this mega awareness and benefit saturation drive aims to reach the most deprived tribal populations across the country.
In Udaipur, the campaign will be launched at the cluster level with camps being organized in tribal-dominated areas. A state-level ceremony is scheduled for June 16 at Kotda, Udaipur, where extensive arrangements are being made under the guidance of Tribal Area Development (TAD) Commissioner Shaktisingh Rathore. Tribal Regional Development Minister Babulal Kharaḍi has approved the event.
About the Dhartia Aba Campaign
Named after Birsa Munda, revered as ‘Dhartia Aba’ in Jharkhand, the campaign was inaugurated on October 2, 2024, in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Covering tribal villages across 550 districts, it focuses on bridging developmental gaps in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihood by ensuring 100% benefit saturation from schemes run by 17 central ministries.
Camp Activities and Department Participation
According to CEO Riya Dabi, as per the instructions of District Collector Namit Mehta, camps will be held at the cluster level with participation from departments like Education, Health, Rural Development, ICDS, PHE, Electricity, Food & Supplies, AYUSH, Telecom, Skill Development, IT, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Tourism, Irrigation, and others.
Eligible individuals will be instantly enrolled in government schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM-Kisan, Jan Dhan Yojana, and Ration Card programs. CSCs (Common Service Centres) will offer e-KYC, Aadhar registration, and other digital/documentation services.
TAD Deputy Commissioner Ragini Damor mentioned that the campaign will include:
Awareness seminars, workshops, and special gram sabhas
Village-level outreach by Anganwadi workers
Cultural performances with tribal art, dance, music, and street plays
Competitions at district, block, and panchayat levels
Health camps and environment-focused activities like tree plantations
Awareness on PESA Act, forest rights, and social security schemes
A micro-plan and camp calendar have been prepared for sub-division-wise execution, with a real-time monitoring mechanism to track beneficiary registration and scheme implementation.
