Dr. Mala Mattha and Kiran Bhawsar, along with the entire team, were present during the event. Dr. Mattha stated, “The purpose of Kukur Tihar is to instill love and respect for animals among humans. Animals are extremely loyal, and this festival is a way for us to express our gratitude towards them every year.”
Kiran Bhawsar added, “While Diwali is a festival of joy, the loud noise of firecrackers causes fear and stress in animals. We appeal to everyone to make this Diwali a ‘Green and Compassionate Diwali’ without crackers, filled with love and care.”
The organization also urged citizens to consider animals as part of their families, show them affection, and spread the message of peaceful coexistence.
