####Essay Competition Held on the Occasion of Mining Day

Udaipur. The Mining Engineers Association of India (MEAI) observes Indian Mining Day every year on November 1 across the country. This year’s theme is “Mining Today for a Greener Tomorrow”.

In line with this theme, an essay competition was organized today. Asif M. Ansari, Secretary of MEAI, informed that 21 students from various mining engineering colleges and departments, including CTAEE, Sighania University, Pacific College, and the Department of Geology, MLSU, participated in the event. The top three winners of the competition will be awarded on Indian Mining Day, November 1.

The Rajasthan Chapter of MEAI, Udaipur, in collaboration with JK Lakshmi Cement Limited, Daroli Limestone Mines, Udaipur, will celebrate Mining Day. The event will include discussions on current trends in the mining industry, technological advancements, and environmental protection issues. Participants will also get an opportunity to visit floating solar plants and cement plants at the mines.

To ensure the success of the program, Secretary Asif M. Ansari, Joint Secretary Dr. Hitanshu Kaushal, Dr. S.S. Rathore, Makbul Ahmad, and Dr. S.C. Jain were present. The young students of mining engineering and geology participated with great enthusiasm and energy, making the event a lively and informative experience.
