Dr. Alpana Bohra Honoured With Nari Shakti Samman

Udaipur. A grand Nari Shakti Samman ceremony dedicated to women empowerment was organised at the Golden Jubilee Guest House Auditorium, University Campus, under the banner of The Moral Shoppe. The objective of the programme was to recognise and honour women who have made remarkable contributions in various fields of society, thereby giving their work wider identity and appreciation.

In this ceremony, Dr. Alpana Bohra, President of the Women’s Wing of the Consumer Protection Organisation (District Udaipur), was honoured with the Nari Shakti Samman for her continuous service. For the past nine years, Dr. Bohra has been providing free acupressure therapy to people belonging to different sections of society. Through her experience and dedication, numerous individuals have been relieved from persistent health problems.

Multiple acupressure camps have been organised by her in schools, women’s groups, senior citizen forums, and underprivileged communities. Through these camps, she has contributed significantly in providing relief from migraine, blood pressure issues, joint pain, stress, sinus problems, suffocation, backache, and sugar-related complications. She has consistently motivated people to adopt a medicine-free, balanced lifestyle. Recognising her efforts in promoting natural healing methods, The Moral Shoppe honoured her with the Nari Shakti Samman Award.

According to Dr. Bohra, creating health awareness among every section of society lays the foundation for a strong, self-reliant, and positive community. Her service journey stands as an inspiration to society.

Expressing gratitude, Dr. Bohra described this honour as a moment of pride, motivation, and a memorable achievement. She stated that this recognition is not merely an individual award but an appreciation of all those women who continue to progress with determination despite challenges and strive to bring positive change in society.

During the event, 30 other women excelling in education, social service, health, and various social sectors were also felicitated. Mayura Mehta played a significant role in organising the ceremony. Based on the theme “Every Woman is a Power”, the programme served as a meaningful effort to acknowledge women’s capability, sensitivity, leadership, and contribution to society.

On the occasion of her felicitation, Dr. Bohra extended heartfelt thanks to Moral Mehta and her family for their support, guidance, and encouragement. She said that this honour has strengthened her morale and inspired her to continue her mission with greater dedication. She also expressed gratitude for the positive vision of Moral Mehta, which has empowered many women with new energy, recognition, and confidence.

The event witnessed the presence of social workers, representatives from the education sector, media personnel, women’s organisations, and young achievers. Special contribution in the event was made by Azad Bolya, Renu Bolya, and Kamal Mehta. In the conclusion, the team of The Moral Shoppe resolved to continue organising such women empowerment initiatives in the future.
