Administration Tightens Vigil on Ground-Level Public Services

, With the objective of ensuring better and seamless public services, District Collector Namit Mehta on Wednesday directed all Sub-Divisional Officers (SDMs) and Tehsildars to conduct an intensive inspection drive across their respective areas. The teams reviewed the functioning of government health facilities, bus stands, fertilizer availability, and inspected GSS and LAMPS at the subdivision and tehsil levels.

During the inspections, officials checked staff presence, availability of medicines, cleanliness, patient facilities, and record maintenance at government health centers.

At bus stands, arrangements related to passenger convenience, cleanliness, drinking water, toilets, shelters, and security were assessed.

Keeping the agricultural season in mind, officers also conducted a thorough review of fertilizer stock, supply mechanisms, distribution systems, and price display.

Wherever irregularities were found, officials issued strict on-the-spot instructions to concerned staff. They were directed to avoid any negligence in public services, ensure timely corrective measures, strengthen arrangements, and maintain regular monitoring.
