Udaipur: A private travels bus travelling from Udaipur to Ahmedabad caught fire near Parsad on National Highway-78, turning into a massive fireball within minutes. This is the second such bus fire incident reported on the route in the last five days.
According to reports, the sleeper coach had departed from Udaipur for Ahmedabad in the afternoon and had just reached near the Parsad police station when the fire suddenly broke out. Due to the intense summer heat, the flames spread rapidly and engulfed the entire bus in a short span of time.
Fortunately, all passengers were evacuated safely before the fire became uncontrollable, and no casualties were reported.
A similar incident had occurred five days earlier near Balicha on the same highway, where a bus travelling from Amet to Surat also caught fire. In that incident too, all passengers were rescued safely.
The increasing number of fire incidents involving moving buses and cars during extreme summer conditions has raised concerns. Experts believe the reasons behind such incidents — whether linked to rising temperatures, vehicle overheating, electrical faults or other technical issues — require detailed investigation and research.
