Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls-2026 Underway in Udaipur

Udaipur — Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Elejctoral Rolls-2026, Udaipur district is conducting review, inspection, and awareness activities related to the distribution and collection of enumeration forms across the district. District Election Officer Mr. Namit Mehta emphasized that all officials, personnel, and voters should be encouraged to fill their enumeration forms online to ensure maximum participation.

“I fulfilled my responsibility, now it’s your turn” — ADM City
ADM City & ERO Udaipur, Mr. Jitendra Ojha, submitted his family’s enumeration forms online and appealed to all aware voters to take five minutes to complete their forms online. The SIR process is very simple and can be completed in 4–5 minutes via the official portal of the Election Commission of India.

Required documents for online submission include:

  • Current EPIC number (2025 voter ID)

  • Aadhaar number for e-sign verification

  • Mobile number linked with Aadhaar for OTP verification

  • Recent photograph under 2 MB

  • Last SIR 2002 voter details (self, parents, or grandparents) including constituency name, part number, and serial number, available from the “Search Your Name in Last SIR 2002” PDF.

Step-by-step Online Process:

  1. Sign up on the portal with mobile number and OTP, then log in. Select “Fill Enumeration Form” on the dashboard.

  2. Enter state and 2025 EPIC number, then verify via OTP sent to mobile.

  3. Choose category based on last SIR 2002 data:

    • Option 1: My name is in Last SIR 2002

    • Option 2: My parent’s/grandparent’s name is in Last SIR 2002

    • Option 3: Neither my nor my relative’s name is in Last SIR 2002 (fill basic details).

  4. Fill in all required details, address, and upload photograph.

  5. E-sign with Aadhaar number and OTP verification.

  6. Submit form by ticking the checkbox; a confirmation message will be received on the registered mobile number.

Mobile Number Linking Simplified
Sub-Divisional Election Officer Mr. Dipendra Singh Rathore said that linking a voter’s mobile number with their voter ID is mandatory for online SIR submission. If not linked, it can be done immediately provided the names on Aadhaar and voter card match via online Form 8 on the SIR portal.

Emphasis on Digitization Progress
The District Election Officer instructed officials to inspect only the lowest-performing BLOs. Except for Mavli and Gogunda, digitization progress in other areas is below target. All EROs, Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars have been asked to monitor underperforming BLOs in the field and submit reports. Officials and BLOs are encouraged to fill online forms for themselves and their families, using the latest BLO app versions (8.75 & 2.26).

Field Work Continues on Holidays
On Saturday and Sunday, BLOs worked actively on voter roll revision despite holidays. Field monitoring and review meetings accelerated the SIR campaign. Jhadol ERO Kapil Kothari conducted joint meetings with Patwari and VDO LDCs to review progress and inspected BLOs in Jhadol and Magwas, directing them to complete pending tasks. Meetings with political party representatives were held in Girva Tehsil, while BLO and help desk inspections took place in Bhinder Block and Kurabad. The Electoral Registration Officer, Vallabhnagar, reviewed SIR progress in a workshop with supervisors and BLOs. At a Khark Jain Pravasi Samaj Udaipur event, information was provided about SIR and online enumeration form submission.

This intensive drive aims to ensure accurate, complete, and fully digitized voter rolls ahead of the 2026 elections, promoting awareness and participation among all eligible voters.
