Acupressure Awareness Camp Organized

Udaipur. An Acupressure Awareness Camp was organized at Government Meera Girls College under the joint initiative of the college and the Consumer Protection Organization, as part of the special seven-day camp of all four units of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The session was conducted by Dr. Alpana Bohra, who provided students with detailed information on natural healing and acupressure techniques.

On this occasion, College Principal Professor Deepak Maheshwari and Dr. Sunita Arya, NSS Programme Officer, welcomed Dr. Bohra by presenting her with an uparna. The main speaker of the session, Dr. Alpana Bohra, recipient of the Nari Shakti Award and Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of the Consumer Protection Organization, explained that acupressure is a highly effective natural therapy for the prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related diseases.

Dr. Bohra informed students about managing issues such as stress, fatigue, lack of concentration, insomnia, and general weakness through acupressure. She elaborated on the benefits and treatment methods of acupressure, stating that it provides relief in conditions like migraine, headaches, sinus problems, cervical pain, eye-related issues, and knee pain.

During the camp, Dr. Bohra not only demonstrated specific acupressure points for various ailments but also conducted hands-on practical sessions, enabling participants to gain firsthand experience. Students were introduced to the basics of acupressure, live demonstrations, and drug-free methods of disease prevention and treatment.

More than 200 students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the camp and gained valuable knowledge about disease prevention and self-healing techniques. Participants pledged to adopt acupressure in their daily lives, emphasizing that this therapy allows individuals to treat themselves at home without side effects. Regular acupressure practice, they were informed, helps enhance concentration, mental balance, energy levels, and self-confidence.

The camp was graced by the presence of Dr. Rajshree Gandhi, National President of the Consumer Protection Organization, along with Ashok Kadecha, Coordinator, and Parvati Jha, adding dignity to the event.
