Coordinator Dr. P. S. Rajput informed that through various activities, students delivered a strong message against myths and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS. He emphasized that the fight against HIV/AIDS is not limited to medical treatment—it also requires correct information, empathy and social acceptance.
The highlight of the programme was the debate competition, where students openly challenged social stereotypes, misconceptions and psychological barriers surrounding HIV/AIDS. They stressed that real change comes not only through policies but through our mindset, understanding and behaviour. World AIDS Day reminds us that awareness is not just about spreading information—it is about humanity, compassion and supporting those who are fighting this battle.
In the poster-making competition, students creatively depicted the seriousness of HIV/AIDS while expressing messages of humanity and compassion through their artwork.
The main objective of such events is to raise awareness among youth about life-threatening diseases like HIV/AIDS and TB. More than 150 students participated in the competitions, and winners were honoured with mementos and certificates. University faculty and staff members were also present on the occasion.
