####Paras Health Udaipur Trains Coaches and PT Teachers for Faster On-Field Response to Sports Injuries

Udaipur: Reinforcing its commitment to preventive healthcare and community engagement, Paras Health Udaipur, in collaboration with Aakriti NewAge Evolution Foundation, organized a Sports Injury Awareness Session aimed at improving early recognition of sports injuries and strengthening timely on-field response. The session brought together sports teachers, coaches, and physical training professionals—often the first responders when injuries occur on the field—to ensure quicker care and safer recovery for athletes.

Titled “How to Deal with Sports Injuries,” the session focused on the most common sports-related injuries, immediate first-response measures, rehabilitation strategies, and the importance of initiating treatment early to prevent long-term complications. Participants engaged in practical discussions designed to translate medical knowledge into real-time decision-making during games and training.

Addressing the attendees, Dr. Ashish Singhal, Senior Orthopedic Surgeon (Knee Replacement & Arthroscopy) at Paras Health Udaipur, emphasized the risks of delayed or incorrect treatment.
“Sports injuries at school and amateur levels are often ignored or mismanaged. This delay can turn easily treatable injuries into chronic problems. Coaches and teachers are the first point of contact after an injury—equipping them with the right knowledge can dramatically improve outcomes,” he said.

The session also highlighted advancements in orthopedic care, including minimally invasive procedures and structured rehabilitation protocols designed to promote safer and faster recovery.

Speaking about the hospital’s broader vision, Dr. Prasoon Kumar, Facility Director, Paras Health Udaipur, noted:
“Preventive care doesn’t begin inside the operation theatre—it starts with awareness. By engaging directly with PT teachers and coaches, we’re addressing injuries at an early stage. Early management not only improves recovery but also helps young athletes continue playing with confidence and without fear.”

Discussions covered commonly affected areas such as the knee, shoulder, ankle, and muscles, with clarity on when conservative (non-surgical) care is sufficient and when surgical intervention becomes necessary. The critical role of physiotherapy and post-injury rehabilitation in achieving complete and sustainable recovery was also emphasized.

Underlining the importance of physiotherapy in both prevention and recovery, Dr. Vishal Bhatt, Physiotherapist at Paras Health Udaipur, said:
“Many sports injuries can be prevented with structured warm-up routines, correct body mechanics, and sport-specific conditioning. Physiotherapy plays a key role not only in rehabilitation but also in early assessment and guided recovery. Awareness programs like these empower coaches and teachers to manage injuries scientifically on the field and ensure timely treatment.”

Through such initiatives, Paras Health Udaipur continues to extend healthcare beyond hospital walls—focusing on prevention, education, and sustained community outreach to address the rising incidence of sports injuries and build a healthier sporting ecosystem.
