Sri Ganganagar |Under the monthly action plan, the District Legal Services Authority, Sri Ganganagar, organized a cyber crime awareness camp on January 15, 2026, at Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Police Lines, Sri Ganganagar. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Shri Ravi Prakash Suthar (Additional District and Sessions Judge) to create awareness among students about cyber safety.
During the camp, ADJ Ravi Prakash Suthar informed students that with the increasing use of the internet, incidents of cyber crime have also risen. He advised students to use strong passwords during online transactions, never share OTPs, and avoid clicking on unknown or suspicious links on social media. Students were also made aware that in case of cyber fraud, immediate assistance can be sought by calling the cyber helpline number 1930.
In addition, ADJ Suthar emphasized the importance of mental well-being, advising students to limit excessive use of smartphones and social media, stay away from substance abuse, understand the ill effects of child marriage, and avoid minors commuting to school on self-driven vehicles.
Following this, Chief Legal Defense Counsel Shri Rohitash Yadav provided information about free legal aid and legal advice available under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. He also briefed students about the NALSA helpline number 15100 and the Legal Aid Defense Counsel System, encouraging them to seek legal help whenever required.
The programme was attended by Principal Mrs. Rimpa Talwar, teacher Mani Bhadra, Om Prakash Meena from the Traffic Police, along with law interns Tanu Singh, Roshni Sharma, and Ayush Joshi. The stage proceedings were conducted by Defense Counsel Shri Tushar Gupta from the District Legal Services Authority.
The awareness camp proved to be informative and beneficial in educating students about cyber safety, legal rights, and responsible digital behavior.
