Outstanding Performance by St. Anthony’s School Students in SGFI Selection

Students of St. Anthony’s School have brought pride to the institution by achieving remarkable success in sports this year. Three talented players from the school have been selected for the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Championships—two in chess and one in swimming.

Chess prodigies Aniruddha Sahu and Disha Modh showcased exceptional skills at the inter-school and zonal levels, securing their place in the SGFI national chess competition to be held in Tripura. Their calm, strategic and focused gameplay impressed the selectors and demonstrated their dedication to the sport.

In a proud milestone, Aniruddha Sahu and Sirjan Singh Deol have earned national selection for the third consecutive year, earning widespread appreciation. Disha Modh too reached the national stage with an outstanding performance, adding another feather to the school’s cap.

In swimming, talented athlete Sirjan Singh Deol qualified for the SGFI National Swimming Championship to be held in Delhi. His mastery in freestyle and backstroke, combined with strong timing and technique, made a notable impact on the selection panel. Sirjan has consistently excelled at district and state-level competitions, proving his calibre with multiple medals.
