Twelve skaters from St. Anthony’s School departed today for Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) to participate in the upcoming 63rd National Roller Skating Championship. The national event is scheduled to be held from December 5 to 15, 2025, and will witness participation from top athletes representing various states across the country.
Coach Mayank Soni shared that the selection process this year was highly competitive. All selected skaters secured their spots by delivering exceptional performances at the district and state levels. He added that the team will not only represent the school but also the district and the state of Rajasthan, and all players are fully prepared to give their best.
The skaters representing the school are:
Vaidehi Tailor, Akshita Wasal, Naksh Punera, Yansh Raj Gurjar, Prince Raj Singh, Endon John, Neetika Gurjar, Mishti Tailor, Atharv Hanswal, Tashi Punera, Tarun Gameti and Durg Pratap Singh.
They will compete in various speed and rink events.
School Principal William D’Souza extended his best wishes to the team, stating that the children have undergone rigorous training over the past months, and their hard work is sure to bring positive results. He expressed confidence that the skaters of St. Anthony’s will once again showcase their talent at the national level and make both the school and the district proud.
As the team departed, parents, coaches, and school staff gathered enthusiastically to encourage the young athletes. All the skaters left with high morale, discipline, and strong determination to perform their best at the national championship.
