Advika and Mehul Crowned Udaipur District Under-15 Chess Champions

Udaipur: The “Udaipur District Under–15 Chess Championship–2025” was successfully organized by the Udaipur District Chess Association in collaboration with Aryamitra Chess Club at CPS School, Bhupalpura. A total of 86 talented players from various schools across the district participated in the competition. The event was graced by chief guests Mahesh Ji Chauhan and Sandeep Ji Chauhan of Rithas.

In the girls’ category, Advika Sarupriya from DPS delivered an outstanding performance to secure first place, while Veera Kage (MDS) claimed second, and Lorisha Kothari (MDS) finished third. The top ten also included promising players such as Paushita Paliwal, Himani Chaparwal, Bhavya Maheshwari, Paridhi Lodha, Mannya Chaudhary, Hoshi Paliwal, and Vihana Kothari.

In the open category, Mehul Paliwal (St. Paul’s) took first place, Dhananjay Shukla (MDS Public School) secured second, and Viansh Bhatnagar (VITTI International) achieved third. The top ten included Mohak Harmor, Dhruvin Jain, Vinite Kage, Gagan Dak, Vihaan Kumawat, Shreyansh Puri, and Rishan Jain.

The tournament also featured special awards across various age groups:

Boys Under-7: Gatik Vyas, Atharv Chhajed, Priyansh Ahari

Boys Under-9: Sujyot Kale, Vihaan Kariwal, Purvansh Panwar

Boys Under-11: Divyansh Mathur, Priyanshu Nayak, Yedhant Chittora

Boys Under-13: Vernit Singh Chauhan, Akshit Jain, Utkarsh Singh (VITTI International School)

Girls Under-7: Vihana Gukhru, Prisha Kataria

Girls Under-9: Saanchi Jain

Girls Under-11: Jesvi Chaubisa, Lubhani Jain, Jianshi Jain

Girls Under-13: Navya Parikh, Bhavnidhi Bhati

The championship was judiciously managed by chief arbiters Bhupendra Sen and Vikas Chandel, who ensured the smooth conduct of the event with utmost dedication.
