Launch of 'Clean School-Healthy School' Campaign in District, Over 3 Lakh Students to Benefit

Bhilwara: To enhance the academic standard, promote cleanliness, and ensure the well-being of students in government schools, a pioneering initiative has been undertaken by the District Collector, Mr. Namit Mehta. The launch of the 'Clean School-Healthy School' campaign took place on Thursday at the Government Senior Secondary School, Rajendra Marg premises.

District Collector Mehta inaugurated the campaign by unveiling its posters, marking the commencement of this noble endeavor. This campaign aims to benefit over 3 lakh students across 1881 government schools and anganwadis in the district. Every Saturday, under the 'No Bag Day,' various cleanliness-related activities will be organized in schools and anganwadis as part of this initiative.

During the launch, District Collector Mehta emphasized that the 'Clean School-Healthy School' campaign is an innovative step towards focusing on the health and cleanliness of students and improving the surrounding environment. He urged all government schools to work towards creating an atmosphere where government schools outshine private schools in every aspect, making them ideal institutions.

District Collector Mehta highlighted the essential role teachers will play in the success of this campaign, emphasizing their cooperation and support. Addressing the students, he encouraged them to cultivate good habits of cleanliness in their lives, as personal health and well-being are crucial.

Campaign Objectives:

The main objectives of the 'Clean School-Healthy School' campaign include enhancing educational quality, creating a clean and healthy environment in schools, raising awareness among students and parents about cleanliness habits, encouraging public participation through Aadhar and Bhamashah, increasing enrollment in government schools, and beautifying school premises.

Key Components of the Campaign:

The campaign will focus on components such as cleanliness, drinking water facilities (Jalsudha), plastic-free schools (Best Out of Waste), student health, and green school initiatives. It involves regular health check-ups and treatment for students, the establishment of kitchen gardens and green gardens in every school, and the installation of water purifiers. Additionally, efforts will be made to reduce plastic and other waste in schools.

Present during the launch were Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Avhad N. Somanath, District Education Officer Yogesh Chandra Parik, Chief Medical and Health Officer Mr. Mushtaq Khan, Assistant Project Coordinator Dinesh Kumar Koli, Principal Shyam Lal Khateek, Rajkumar Anchaliya, and other dignitaries.
