Anemia Awareness Drive Conducted During 'Power Day' in the District

Bhilwara- Every Tuesday, recognized as 'Power Day,' is dedicated to identifying and addressing anemia at an early stage in children, women, and adolescents in the district. In a recent initiative, public health institutions, schools, and every Anganwadi center in the district participated in the 'Power Day' to mobilize adolescent girls, married women, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The event focused on distributing iron tablets to children based on symptoms.*

*Dr. Chetendra Puri Goswami, Chief Medical and Health Officer, provided information about the activities conducted during 'Power Day.' He highlighted that various activities were organized to improve the rate of anemia in children, women, and adolescents. Health workers played a crucial role in conducting screenings for anemia, checking hemoglobin levels, providing treatments, and distributing iron tablets.*

*Dr. Puri emphasized the significance of raising awareness about the physical and mental consequences of anemia and promoting dietary changes for a nutritious and iron-rich diet. The 'Power Day' initiative aims to combat anemia and its detrimental effects on the well-being of individuals.*
