Udaipur: An exhibition themed on Indian knowledge systems, featuring drama, art, and aesthetics, was inaugurated by Prof. Shivsinh Sarangdevot, Vice-Chancellor of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, along with Chancellor Bhawarlal Gurjar, Principal Prof. Saroj Garg, Dr. Rachna Rathore, Dr. Balidan Jain, and Dr. Ami Rathore at the Lokmanya Tilak Teacher Training College, a constituent of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth. The exhibition was organized by students of the B.A.-B.Ed. and B.Sc.-B.Ed. departments.
The fourth-year student-teachers creatively showcased the integration of Indian culture, science, and spirituality through their exhibits. Key topics included Ashtanga Yoga, root chakras, Panchang tithis, types and effects of tilaks, Vedic symbols, significance of Om, swastika construction methods, the ten Mahavidyas, and sixteen sanskars, all presented from both scientific and spiritual perspectives.
Students also highlighted Indian aesthetics through Mandala art, quilling, mirror work, and handmade art. Emphasizing environmental conservation, they painted cotton bags with handcrafted designs promoting the message of “Save the Environment.”
Prof. Sarangdevot encouraged students to recognize the global uniqueness of Indian knowledge traditions and urged them to carry forward this heritage for future generations. He emphasized that such events nurture creativity, scientific thinking, and cultural awareness among students.
The exhibition was coordinated by Dr. Indu Bala Acharya and Dr. Lakshman Rewadi with active support from students. Several academic members, including Dr. Bhuralal Shrimali, Dr. Neetu Vyas, Dr. Rajni Dhabai, Dr. Anupam Suthar, Dr. Usha Sharma, Narpat Singh Chundawat, Bharat Kushwaha, private secretary Krishnakant Kumawat, Yashwant Rao, Mahesh Chandra Paliwal, and Sawaram Dangi, were present on the occasion.
