St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School has once again brought pride to the city with an outstanding sports achievement. Principal Mr. William D’Souza announced that the school’s talented swimmer Sirjan Singh Deol earned a spot in the SGFI National Swimming Championship in Delhi, where he delivered an exceptional performance.
With the blessings of God and the support of his parents, Sirjan clinched the Bronze Medal in the 200m Breaststroke event at the SGFI National Swimming Championship, completing the race in 2 minutes 27.99 seconds. His remarkable achievement has made not only the school but the entire city proud.
Sirjan had already impressed selectors with his strong timings and technique in challenging events like freestyle and backstroke. Having won multiple medals at district and state levels, he established himself as a strong contender on the national stage.
Sirjan will compete in the 100m event tomorrow, and the school has requested everyone to extend their blessings and good wishes for his success.

In the SGFI National Chess Championship held in Tripura, Anirudh Sahu from St. Anthony’s School and his team delivered an impressive performance, securing the 11th place in a highly competitive tournament featuring top players from across the country.
The team fought brilliantly throughout the championship. A win in the final round could have placed them in the top four, but they narrowly missed out after a tough match. Their consistency and fighting spirit won appreciation from coaches and spectators alike.
According to the coach, Anirudh and his team displayed skill, determination, and tactical brilliance in several rounds, even causing major upsets against higher-ranked opponents. The school expressed pride in Anirudh’s achievement and is confident that he will attain even greater milestones in the future.
In the same tournament, Disha Modh also showcased remarkable strategy and sportsmanship, helping her team secure the 16th position, a noteworthy accomplishment at the national level.
