St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School has once again brought pride to the city through outstanding performances in national-level sports events. Principal Mr. William D’Souza shared that the school’s talented swimmer, Sirjan Singh Deol, earned a spot in the SGFI National Swimming Championship held in Delhi, where he delivered a remarkable performance.

Sirjan Wins Bronze at SGFI Nationals

By the grace of God and with the blessings of his parents, Sirjan clinched the bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke, clocking an impressive 2 minutes 27.99 seconds. His achievement has made not only the school but the entire city proud.

Sirjan has consistently impressed selectors with his timing and technique in challenging styles like freestyle and backstroke. His numerous medals at district and state levels have proven that he is a strong contender on the national stage. He will also compete in the 100m event scheduled for tomorrow. The school community has extended heartfelt wishes for his continued success.

Principal D’Souza expressed joy over Sirjan’s success, stating that St. Anthony’s School constantly motivates students to excel in both academics and sports. Stellar Performance by Aniruddh Sahu’s Team at SGFI Chess Nationals

In the SGFI National Chess Championship held in Tripura, St. Anthony’s School’s promising player Aniruddh Sahu and his team delivered an outstanding performance, securing the 9th position nationally.

The competition was intense, with top players from across the country participating. Aniruddh’s team stayed strong through the rounds and remained close to the top of the leaderboard throughout the tournament. A narrow loss in the final round prevented them from finishing in the top four, but the team’s performance was widely appreciated.

According to the coach, Aniruddh and his teammates displayed exceptional skill, consistency, and resilience, achieving major upsets and significant victories during the tournament. The school expressed pride in Aniruddh’s performance and hopes he continues achieving greater milestones at the national level.

Disha Mod Also Impresses

Another young talent from the school, Disha Mod, showcased strong strategy and sportsmanship on the chessboard, helping her team secure the 16th position, a commendable achievement at the national level.
