Udaipur: The Junior Annual Sports Day of St. Anthony’s School, located in Sector 4, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur. According to Media In-charge Vikas Sahu, students from Nursery to Class 5 actively and enthusiastically participated in the event.
Students securing first, second, and third positions were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals respectively by the guests. The programme was graced by Mr. Surendra Pandey (C.O. Circle Organizer, District) as the Chief Guest. The special guests included Mr. Aniruddh Singh (Rajasthan Ranji Trophy player), Mr. Pushpendra Singh (India Under-19 player), Ms. Abhilasha Mishra (C.O. Circle Organizer, District), and Ms. Kiran Soni (Yoga Expert and Therapist). The programme was presided over by Principal William D’Souza.
The event was smoothly conducted by Shobhana Chaudhary and Vinita Mehta. A total of 97 events were organized, including various races, item races, PT displays, and dance performances, in which students showcased their energy and talent. Altogether, 406 medals were won by the students.
Addressing the gathering, the guests emphasized that such events are essential for the physical development of children along with their mental growth. While awarding medals, the guests expressed great joy and personally interacted with the young participants.
During the programme, several outstanding student athletes of the school were also honoured with certificates and prizes. Players from various sports disciplines took part in the celebrations.
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the Sports Day flag by the dignitaries, followed by the formal declaration of the opening of the Sports Day, marking a vibrant and memorable occasion for the school community.
