Udaipur: The Rockwood Blazing Strikers Cricket Cup T-20, organized under the aegis of D-Code Meta and Udaipur District Cricket Association, was inaugurated in a grand ceremony at Shikharwadi Ground, Udaipur. The chief guest for the event was Nivriti Kumari Mewar.
Distinguished guests included Krishnakant Tank (Chairman, Urban Cooperative Bank), Anil Sharma (Director Administration, Rockwoods School), Prince Boolia (IT industrialist), and Ranji player Kishan Choudhary.
Organizing committee members present on stage included President Sunil Laddha, Secretary Vivek Ghai, District Association Secretary Manoj Choudhary, Treasurer Mahendra Sharma, Chief Advisor Manish Agrawal, and Director Abraham Kumar. Guests were welcomed with bouquets by Priyanka Kothari, Kamal Puri, R. Chandra, Manish Jain, Vinod Rathore, and Anil Mathur.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by national player Karan Dave administering the oath to the players, encouraging them to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship. District Association Secretary Manoj Choudhary briefly outlined the tournament format.
Chief Guest Nivriti Kumari Mewar expressed her gratitude to the organizers, stating that hosting such a major event in Udaipur provides a golden opportunity for emerging players while giving spectators a chance to witness top-level cricket.
Sunil Laddha, Vivek Ghai, Manoj Choudhary, and Mahendra Sharma presented mementos to the dignitaries. Anil Sharma officially announced the start of the tournament.
Two matches will be played daily, with the first match at 3:30 PM and the second at 7:30 PM. A special feature of this tournament is the live broadcast of all matches using an 8-camera setup, offering viewers a professional-grade experience. Entry for cricket enthusiasts is completely free.
The tournament will be streamed live across multiple digital platforms including D-Code, WdZ (YouTube), SportVot, and Waves OTT. Live scoring will also be available on CricHeroes.
