Participation of Geetanjali Hospital Experts in State-Level World Radiography Day Celebration

The state-level celebration of World Radiography Day was held with great enthusiasm at the auditorium of the College of Agriculture, Udaipur. The event was organized by the Rajasthan Radiation Technologists Association (RRTA), with Geetanjali Hospital serving as the medical partner.

The ceremony was graced by Udaipur MLA Phool Singh Meena as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Dr. Arvind Shukla (Professor, Department of Radiophysics), Dr. Sanjay Gandhi (CTVS Surgeon, Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital), Dr. Ramavatar Saini (Head, Orthopaedics Department, Geetanjali Hospital), and Dr. N.K. Rathore (Head, Department of Radiotherapy, RNT Medical College, Udaipur).

During the event, Dr. Ramavatar Saini gave an insightful presentation on the latest medical innovation — the Velys Robot technology. He explained that this advanced robotic system is now being successfully utilized at Geetanjali Hospital for knee replacement and other complex surgeries. A key advantage of this technology, he noted, is that it eliminates the need for pre-surgery CT scans, thereby protecting patients from unnecessary radiation exposure. He emphasized that the technology ensures greater precision, safety, and faster recovery for patients.

CTVS Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Gandhi shared his experience on how robotic and imaging technologies have revolutionized modern cardiac and vascular surgeries, making them significantly safer, more effective, and highly accurate.

On this occasion, Dr. Ramavatar Saini, Dr. Sanjay Gandhi, and Mr. Shashiraj Kenneth (AGM, Radiology Department, Geetanjali Hospital) were felicitated for their contributions.

The program saw participation from around 600 radiation technologists, medical experts, and students from across the state. Individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of radiation safety and radiography were also honored.

The primary objective of the event was to promote awareness about radiation safety, highlight advancements in modern imaging technologies, and encourage innovation in the medical field.
