###“Five S & Kaizen” Awareness Program Held in Udaipur

Udaipur: A significant awareness and training program on “Five S & Kaizen” was successfully organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India, Rajsamand Chapter at the multi-storey residential complex Archi Peace Park in Udaipur. The half-day program witnessed enthusiastic participation from 89 residents, who actively contributed to the initiative.

It is noteworthy that QCFI has set a target to connect one lakh households across India with the “Five S” concept. The Rajsamand Chapter is moving forward in this direction while also aligning with the vision of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The primary objective of the program was to introduce citizens to effective management concepts like Five S and Kaizen and encourage their adoption in daily household life.

During the session, experts explained that these techniques are not limited to industries but can be effectively applied in homes, communities, and personal life. Training was jointly delivered by Dr. Sunil Kumar Jagasia, Secretary of QCFI Rajsamand Chapter, and Dr. Vikram Kumawat. Through simple and practical examples, they elaborated on the five principles of Five S—Reorganize, Neatness, Cleaning, Standardization, and Sustain—demonstrating how these can make life more systematic and efficient. They also highlighted benefits such as time saving, reduced wastage, and lower stress levels.

Participants were actively engaged through group activities, discussions, and real-life examples, helping them understand how Five S can improve cleanliness and organization at both home and society levels.

While explaining Kaizen, speakers emphasized that it is a Japanese concept focused on continuous improvement through small, positive changes. They noted that if individuals commit to making small improvements in their daily routines, it can collectively lead to significant societal transformation.

Participants described the training as highly beneficial, stating that it inspired them to maintain cleaner and more organized surroundings. Many also pledged to adopt these principles and motivate others to do the same.

This initiative by the Rajsamand Chapter is being seen as a positive step in promoting not only industrial quality improvement but also cleanliness, discipline, and a better lifestyle at the social and household level. Experts believe that regular organization of such programs can significantly contribute to achieving the vision of a “clean and organized India.”
