Udaipur: Hindustan Zinc Limited, through its Zinc Smelter at Debari, has undertaken several commendable rural development initiatives in collaboration with local communities, significantly transforming the condition and direction of nearby villages. This was stated by Mavli MLA Pushkar Lal Dangi while addressing the gathering as the chief guest during the foundation-laying ceremony for a CC road in Govla Putiya village under the Zinc Smelter Gram Panchayat on Sunday.
MLA Dangi said that the company’s support in essential sectors such as roads, water, education, and healthcare is raising the standard of living of rural residents. He urged villagers to maintain positive and strong relations with Hindustan Zinc so that similar development works can continue in the future. He emphasized that real and sustainable development is possible only when industry and society work together.
Acting President Mangilal Ahir remarked that the works being carried out by Hindustan Zinc Limited under its CSR and welfare initiatives are inspiring for society. The company’s contributions in education, drinking water, and infrastructure are laying a strong foundation for long-term development.
General Secretary Prakash Shrimali stated that the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) has always stood for public interest and workers’ welfare. With the support of Hindustan Zinc, the region has gained new momentum in education, women empowerment, and social upliftment.
CSR Head Ruchika Chawla said that the company remains committed to holistic community development and will continue to work towards sustainable growth and empowerment in collaboration with local communities.
Among those present at the event were former Sarpanch Babu Singh Devra, Mahendra Singh Ranawat, Chunnilal Dangi, Narayan Lal Gayari, Kailash Dangi, Hiralal Meghwal, Meghraj, CSR department representative Arpana Vyas, other staff members, and hundreds of villagers.
As part of its ongoing CSR initiatives in surrounding villages, Hindustan Zinc Smelter Debari has commenced the construction of the CC road. Villagers expressed their gratitude to Hindustan Zinc and public representatives for initiating the project. The construction work formally began following traditional rituals and prayers performed at the site.
