Closure and Award Distribution Ceremony of All India Railway Hindi Theatre Festival 2023

Udaipur | Under the auspices of the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), the Regional Rail Training Institute, Udaipur, organized a three-day closure and award distribution ceremony of the All India Railway Hindi Theatre Festival. The program was held from March 12 to March 14, 2024, with the participation of 20 teams from Indian Railways.

The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp in reverence to Goddess Saraswati. Following this, Dr. Barun Kumar, Chairman and Director (Official Language) of the festival, delivered a captivating devotional song. Subsequently, cultural teams from the North Western Railways Headquarters in Jaipur and Jodhpur presented vibrant Rajasthani dance and music performances.

The chief guest of the program, Mrs. V.G. Bhooma, Additional Member (Human Resources) of the Railway Board, along with the distinguished guest Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Chief Personnel Officer and Chief Official Language Officer of the North Western Railway, and Chairman and Director (Official Language) Dr. Barun Kumar, distributed the awards. The first prize was awarded to the play "Sarpaniti" by the South Central Railway, Vijayawada Mandal. The second prize went to the play "Muthi Mein Gosht" by the North Eastern Railway, Lucknow Mandal, and the third prize was awarded to the play "Inhellar" by the South Eastern Railway, Kolkata Mandal. In total, five plays were honored with Inspiration Awards and various awards were given in 15 categories related to different aspects of theatre.

The award for Best Actor was won by Mr. Subhash Kumar M.B. Technician – 1 of the play "Best Actor" by the South Railway Mandal, and the award for Best Actress was jointly won by Ms. Iman Biswas of the play "Inhellar" by the South Eastern Railway Mandal and Ms. Priyanka Fuljele of the play "Bayan" by the South Central Railway Mandal. The award for Best Director was presented to Mr. C.H.B. Suresh Babu Technician 2 of the play "Sarpaniti" by the South Central Railway Mandal, Vijayawada.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Chief Official Language Officer of the North Western Railway.
