Barbados/New Delhi/Jaipur. Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani met with members of the expatriate Sindhi community in Barbados during the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference.
On this occasion, Devnani said that meeting members of the community on foreign soil was a very pleasant experience. He said that remaining connected to Indian values, culture, and traditions even while living abroad is the greatest identity of our Indian diaspora. The Sindhi community has not only earned respect in Barbados through its hard work and dedication, but has also kept alive the dignity and pride of Indian culture. Devnani said that this meeting reflects the vibrant spirit of the Indian diaspora, which embodies the idea of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" beyond the country's borders.
During the interaction, Assembly Speaker Devnani also discussed in detail the rapid development, self-reliance and global cooperation efforts being made in India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, listening to which the people of the expatriate Sindhi community expressed pride in Indian democracy, governance system and India's growing reputation at the international level. Devnani expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Sindhi community of Barbados who made this visit even more memorable with their heartfelt affection and sense of Indianness.
