Jaipur: The Sarang Helicopter Display Team of the Indian Air Force is all set to enthral the people of Jaipur with a breathtaking display of aerial precision, teamwork, and skill. The team, known for its vibrant helicopters and spectacular formation flying, will be conducting practice displays from 19-20 Febuary 2026, followed by the final performance on 22 Febuary 2026.
The Sarang team—meaning “peacock” in Sanskrit—serves as a proud brand ambassador of the Indian Air Force, showcasing the professionalism and excellence of its air warriors. Since its inception, Sarang has mesmerized audiences across the globe with its signature synchronised aerobatic manoeuvres. The team made its international debut at the Asian Aerospace Show in Singapore in 2004 and has since performed over 1,200 displays at more than 390 venues worldwide.
Flying the indigenously built ‘Dhruv’ Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the Sarangs epitomize the spirit of ‘Atmanirbharta’ (self-reliance). The Dhruv is an all-weather, multi-mission capable helicopter, and the team operates the highly manoeuvrable ALH Mk I variant, a true symbol of India’s technological prowess and aviation excellence.
As the Sarang team paints the skies over Jaipur, the Pink City will witness a rare confluence of heritage and high-precision aviation. Against the timeless backdrop of royal forts and palaces, spectators can expect a stirring spectacle that blends flawless formation flying with the city’s vibrant spirit, celebrating courage, craftsmanship, and national pride, the enduring hallmarks of the Indian Air Force.
