Udaipur — Lions Club Ashoka successfully conducted a clothing and woollen garment collection camp today under its social service initiative “Aao Khushiyan Baantein”. The drive aimed to provide warm clothes to underprivileged families during the winter season, and received enthusiastic support from the citizens of the city.
Lion Mukesh Madhwani, Charter President of the club, said that the woollen clothes and other useful garments collected during the camp will be distributed in the coming days to poor, helpless, and needy families. He thanked the citizens for their warm participation and cooperation.
The camp, held at Ashoka Palace, Shobhagpura, was attended by club officials Lion Mukesh Madhwani, Lion Sameer Rohida, Lion Pankaj Jani, Lion Aziz Ali, Lion Anil Mathur, Lion Kailash Kevalya, Ajay Rathore, and Kailash Gameti. Women members who actively participated included Madhu Kevaliya, Paridhi Mehta, Chetna Jain, Ankita Joshi, Niyati Kanthalia, Surya Vaishnav, Priyanka Sharma, Harsha Nebhnani, Nisha Rathore, and Prem Lata Kumawat. All members worked together to manage the collection and organisation of the garments.
The club stated that all collected clothes will soon be sorted and distributed in various slums and needy areas, ensuring maximum relief to families during the cold season. This humanitarian service initiative proved to be a successful step in promoting compassion, empathy, and a spirit of cooperation in society.
