Udaipur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) City District, Udaipur organized a tribute ceremony at the party office in Patel Circle to honor the sudden demise of young activist, former councilor, and Chairman of the Electricity Committee, Late Hemant Bohra. The event began with two minutes of silence for the departed soul, followed by floral tributes and heartfelt homage.
On the occasion, Pramod Samar, senior leader of BJP and State Coordinator of the Cooperative Cell, paid his respects, highlighting Bohra’s exemplary commitment to service and welfare from an early age. He said, “The true measure of a public representative lies in selfless service and dedication to society. Hemant Bohra established his distinct identity as a popular leader through tireless work, treating public service not as a duty, but as a sacred vow, prioritizing development while standing with the people in their joys and sorrows.”
City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore described Bohra as a highly approachable, diligent, and fully dedicated party worker. He added, “His sudden departure is an irreplaceable loss for the organization. The work done for social welfare is the true wealth of a leader, and Hemant Ji significantly contributed to the all-round development of the area with service, dedication, and transparency.”
Former District President Dinesh Bhatt recalled Bohra’s contributions as a councilor and Electricity Committee Chairman in the Hiran Magri suburban area, emphasizing his work in strengthening basic facilities, improving electricity services, and promptly resolving civic issues, which earned the public’s trust and gave new direction to local development.
The tribute ceremony was presided over by former Mayor and District Secretary Paras Singhvi, who said that Bohra built strong personal bonds with local residents alongside development work, forming the basis of his popularity. His leadership style emphasized dialogue, coordination, and transparency, and it is hard to accept that such an energetic, cheerful, and positive personality is no longer with us.
District Secretary Pankaj Borana remarked that Bohra had a special charisma, drawing every worker close and keeping everyone motivated. His untimely departure is a major loss for both the party and society.
Rana Pratap Mandal President Kanhaiya Vaishnav noted that Bohra always assured confidence in completing any organizational task, whether elections or administrative responsibilities. He made a significant contribution to strengthening electricity management across the city.
Other leaders who paid tribute included former councilor Dr. Vijay Viplavi, District Vice President Karansingh Shaktawat, State Coordinator of the Disaster Relief Department Dr. Jinendra Shastri, District Minister Prakash Agrawal, and councilors Lokesh Gaur and Mukesh Sharma, among others. They remembered Bohra’s remarkable personality and contributions.
According to BJP Media In-Charge Dr. Seema Champawat, the ceremony was attended by leaders and office-bearers including Gajpal Singh Rathore, Paras Singhvi, Devilal Salvi, Pankaj Borana, Digvijay Shrimali, Tushar Mehta, Dinesh Bhatt, Kanhaiya Vaishnav, Amrit Menaria, Jayesh Champawat, Mahesh Trivedi, Lokesh Kothari, Bharat Joshi, Ashish Kothari, Devendra Pujari, Rakesh Jain, Santosh Menaria, Kusum Panwar, Rajkumari Ganna, Poonam Chandra Rawat, Mohit Sanadhya, Amit Singh Solanki, Adeshwar Jain and many others, including councilors, mandal office-bearers, and workers.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by District Secretary Devilal Salvi, who prayed to God to grant the departed soul eternal peace and provide the bereaved family the strength to bear this unbearable loss.
