Effective Monitoring Through State-Level HSMS Portal

Udaipur: A detailed monitoring meeting regarding various modules of the Hostel and School Management System (HSMS) portal was held at the auditorium of the Tribal Area Development Department. The meeting was chaired by Krishanpal Singh Chauhan, Additional Commissioner of the Tribal Area Development Department. A total of 35 members, including district in-charges and other officials from across the state, participated in the meeting.

Krishanpal Singh Chauhan stated that since many departmental hostels and residential schools operate in remote areas, effective monitoring through the portal can significantly improve their functioning. He directed that wardens must ensure 100 percent compliance across all modules, including student attendance, warden reporting, parent/student feedback, inspection visits, and hostel profiles. District authorities were instructed to take action as per rules against wardens who fail to perform their duties despite repeated monitoring.

To strengthen the state-level monitoring system and encourage wardens, instructions were also issued to the IT branch to develop a ranking system.

Subsequently, representatives from all districts gave presentations on the data being entered into various HSMS portal modules. Additional Director Giriraj Kathiriya reviewed each module and addressed related issues.

Dr. Amrita Dadhich discussed in detail the process of online admissions in Ashram hostels and residential schools and gathered suggestions from participants.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director (Education) Rakesh Royal and Satyaprakash Kaswan from the Tribal Area Development Department, Dungarpur district. The proceedings were conducted by HSMS Nodal Monitoring Officer Dr. Amrita Dadhich.
