Udaipur: A seven-day mandatory Cub Master Flock Leader Training Camp organized under the aegis of Hindustan Scout and Guide Rajasthan concluded on Thursday at the university auditorium of Pacific University, Debari. The camp was conducted for students and trainee teachers of Pacific BSTC College.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor of Pacific University, Dr. Hemant Kothari, as the Chief Guest. The program was presided over by District President of Hindustan Scout and Guide, Narendra Singh Ranawat. Distinguished guests included Deputy Director of the Information and Public Relations Office, Udaipur, Gaurikant Sharma; Principal of Pacific College of Physical Education, Dr. Hemant Pandya; Principal of the College of Education Department, Dr. Kapilesh Tiwari; Chairman of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Dilendra Hiran; Manpreet Singh Kharra of The Udaipur Transport Organization; Ranger Rover In-charge of Pacific BSTC College Kavita Sagar; Dilip Singh Chauhan; Dr. Sheela Salvi; Dr. L.N. Chaubisa; Dr. Kapil Jain; Divisional Commissioner of Hindustan Scout and Guide Gopal Mehta Menaria; District Organizer Shanta Vaishnav; District Secretary Rama Jain; District Joint Secretary Ishwari Raigar; and Dungarpur District Organizer Gajendra Vaishnav, among others.
All guests were accorded a Guard of Honor by the Ranger Rover team of Hindustan Scout and Guide. In his address, Dr. Kothari described Scout and Guide students as symbols of punctuality, service, dedication, and sacrifice. He emphasized that in the era of Artificial Intelligence, it is essential to enhance one’s skills to keep pace with changing times.
The program began with “Vande Mataram,” followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati and floral tributes by the dignitaries. Guests were welcomed with scout scarves. Dr. Kapilesh Tiwari delivered the welcome address, while Camp Director Shanta Vaishnav presented the camp report.
During the ceremony, various guide groups presented welcome songs and impressive cultural performances. The gathering was also addressed by Deputy Director Gaurikant Sharma, District President Narendra Singh Ranawat, and Chairman Dr. Dilendra Hiran.
On behalf of the trained scout group, participant Mihir Jain, and representing the guide group, Anju Nagda shared their experiences. They highlighted that through traditional forest skills and various training sessions conducted by counselors, they learned diligence, hard work, obedience, discipline, honesty, loyalty, survival skills in adverse conditions with limited resources, and the importance of being economical. They assured that they would always be ready to serve whenever needed.
The program was conducted by Divisional Commissioner Gopal Mehta Menaria. The vote of thanks was delivered by Training Counselor Manish Trivedi. The camp concluded with a formal declaration of closure by Camp Co-Incharge Gajendra Vaishnav, followed by the collective singing of the National Anthem.
