Udaipur: Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat met Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma in Jaipur on Sunday to discuss various issues related to the Udaipur Lok Sabha constituency and tribal regions. He also raised the demand for the formation of a State Tribal Commission.
During his meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, Dr. Rawat expressed gratitude for the progressive decisions taken for the Udaipur division and scheduled areas in the Rajasthan Budget 2026–27. He thanked the Chief Minister for initiatives related to the PESA Act, the Forest Rights Act, the Dharati Aaba Tribal Advanced Village Campaign, the proposed Tribal Commission, the preparation of a master tourism plan for Jaisamand Lake, and service rules for scheduled areas.
Dr. Rawat urged the Chief Minister to take further decisions in line with the aspirations of the region and its youth. He also requested effective implementation of DMFT (District Mineral Foundation Trust) in the region and proposed convening a state-level meeting on the Parliamentary Cluster Project under the Chief Minister’s chairmanship, which was readily accepted.
The discussion also covered Panchayati Raj elections and other political matters concerning the Mewar and Vagad regions.
